Former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State Chief Abiodun Aluko has appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Delta state to come together as a member of one big family with a view to making the party an election wining political platform in the state come 2023.
Chief Abiodun Aluko who is the Chairman of the APC Membership Registration/Revalidation Committee for Delta state made the appeal while addressing party members in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government of Delta state during the flagoff of the exercise.
The exercise was flagged of with the revalidation of the former governorship candidate for the party in Delta state, Chief Great Ogboru at his polling unit in Abraka.
According to Chief Aluko,” that the party has not made significant impact in elected offices in the state is a manifestation that leaders and party members have a lot to do to win the support of the overwhelming majority of the people.”
He said the tremendous intervention of the President Muhamadu Buhari in Delta state were sufficient campaign issues to woo the people of the state to the party.
Chief Aluko urged party leaders in the state to take the campaign of membership registration and revalidation to the hinterland to ensure that the party was rooted at the grassroot.
He expressed confidence that the APC would win the next election in Delta state with a landslide victory.
In a remark, Chief Great Ogboru commended Chief Aluko’s led committee and gave assurance that members of the party would remain more united and focused ahead of the next election.
