Monarch’s Suspension: Peace returns to Anambra Community, as PG call for calm

By OLAYINKA OWOLABI, Anambra

With the recall of the traditional ruler of Ukwulu community in Dunukofia Council Area, Igwe Peter Uyanwa, it appears peace has returned to the crisis-ravaged town.

Wazobia FM reported serious crisis in the town late last year following the aftermath of the suspension of the traditional ruler and twelve others over an Abuja trip.

But speaking with correspondent yesterday in Ukwulu, the President General of the town, Walter Okafor thanked Governor Willie Obiano for showing uncommon magnanimity in pardoning the monarch.

He called on the few individuals who were fanning the embers of discord in the Community to sheath their sword and join forces in a holistic development of the Community.
