The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Lateef Ademola Olatunji has congratulated Christian faithfuls on Christmas celebration.
The Rector in his congratulatory message acknowledged the dedication, cooperation and commitment shown by staff and students towards the successful completion of second semester year 2019/2020 academic session despite Covid-19 challenges.
The Rector said out of the tertiary institutions that resumed after Covid-19 lockdown, the Federal Polytechnic Offa is the only institution that completed the semester. He added that the commitment and dedication shown by staff of the Polytechnic throughout the semester is highly commendable.
Dr. Olatunji further thanked the Almighty God for the gift of life despite the ranging Covid-19 challenges across the world. He admonished Christian faithfuls to emulate the good virtue of Jesus Christ by spreading love, peace, unity and togetherness.
Speaking further, the Rector emphasised on the second wave of Covid-19 and charged both staff, students and the Polytechnic community at large to continue to take best precautions as advised by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
He said, “On behalf of the Management, I felicitate and rejoice with all Christian faithfuls on the occasion of Christmas. May Jesus Christ, the reason for Christmas endeared you to Himself and ordered your steps into the year 2021 as the dawn of a new era.
May the grace of God abundantly speak for you and His blessing overflow ceaselessly in your life and family.
