BREAKING: Obafemi Awolowo’s First Daughter, Revd Tola Oyediran Is Dead

The first daughter of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Reverend Tola Oyediran dies at age 79.

Tola Oyediran who happens to be the former Nigerian Tribune chairman reportedly died in her sleep today, Friday, October 16, 2020.

Revd Oyediran was married to Professor A. B. O. O. Oyediran, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan.

Tola, the eldest child of the late politician, was to celebrate her 80th birthday on December 1.

Until her passage, she was the Chairman, Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc., publishers of Tribune titles.

Her death leaves Dr Olatokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu as the only surviving child of the Awolowo dynasty.
