The government of Borno has revealed that it would employ a total number of 776 qualified teachers into the state secondary schools.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by Governor Babagana Zulum in Maiduguri after a meeting with commissioners of higher education, senior secondary education, and the chairman, Borno State Universal Basic Education Board (BOSUBEB).
The governor further said the recruitment process of the teachers will be completed no later than November 1, 2020 and teachers would be sent to various secondary schools in the next three weeks.
Zulum directed that some retired teachers, particularly science teachers on an ad hoc basis.
He also disclosed that additional teachers for primary and junior secondary schools would be employed after the ongoing verification exercise of primary schools teachers.
